Probe Profiles’ Christmas Tune

Tuesday, December 22nd, 2009

Catch the life story of Charice on Probe Profiles this December 23. This Christmas special was filmed in the Philippines and the United States. Even the Probe Profiles staff was surprised how this young girl survives her hectic schedule — one day she’s in the Philippines launching a product, the next day she’s in a photo shoot in California!

Tiklop

Tuesday, November 10th, 2009

Last Sunday was a good day to ride a bike — a folding bike, that is.

ProbeTV covered the launch of Bike o2, or the Bike On and Bike Off Project that allows folding bikes on both LRT lines (Baclaran to Monumento and Santolan Pasig to Recto)!

I saw so many bike enthusiasts who brought their folding bikes to be part of this historic train ride. Its so great to see that there are people who care about cleaner air and want to promote a healthier lifestyle, especially in our smog filled city.

Normally only four FBUs or Folding Bike Users will be allowed on each train. But for the launch, more than 50 foldable bikes, their riders, media and special guests packed into the train. We boarded at the Cubao – Araneta Center station and got off at Legarda.

This is one of the rare times I say we should laud our government! The LRTA is a government owned corporation — kudos to the Light Rail Transit Administration. Of course we should pat the backs of the stakeholders and the groups who also made this happen — the Firefly Brigade, Padyak Project Foundation, Tiklop Society and the UP Mountaineers. Mabuhay kayo!

But some sad news, normal bikes are still not allowed on the trains. But folding bikes is a good start!

A Very REVEALING Mae Paner

Tuesday, November 10th, 2009

For the first shoot of ProbeTV for the month of November, we trooped to the UP Vargas Museum one rainy afternoon. For weeks we’ve been anticipating the opening of the exhibit “Pangatawanan mo Nah!” of Mae Paner a.k.a. Juana Change.

We really did not know what to expect, she always has a suprise up her sleeve. And true enough, Mae and the organizers of the exhibit spiced up the traditional ribbon cutting.

The spectators were first asked to step outside the glass walls and doors of the museum as the new and ’sexy’ body of Mae Paner was unveiled by Senator Kiko Pangilinan, Gilda Cordero-Fernando, Bro. Armin Luistro, and our very own Cheche Lazaro.

Mae was dressed or rather half-dressed, in a water lily costume! She had on a cute skirt and a bra top with wings. An armband with a heart and a watch with water lily straps completed her outfit for the night.

I just wish that the guests were first allowed to go inside the museum to be closer and really see the big REVEAL.

The exhibit runs until November 19 at the Vargas Museum.
