"Help the Philippines to become prosperous as Makati"? I tend to disagree with Binay. He sound as if he developed Makati. Long before he was mayor, Makati is made already and prosperous. He occupied the mayoralty when Cory became popular and he just rode with the popularity of Makati with its continues development. It was the late industrialist Enrique Zobel who played a key role in developing the Makati financial district which was a former swampland. He is the former Chairman of Ayala corporation and Bank of the Phil. Island before his cousin Jaime Zobel de Ayala. He was student in the school of hard knocks unlike his cousins Jaime Ayala and Andres Soriano who studied in Harvard and Wharton, respectively. It was this pretensions that endear Binay to the masa and be able to establish a political dynasty. What happens to the graft and corruption being accused of him and almost arrested if not for the lack of political will on the part of the government? Its the chance to prove that there were really ghost employees on the payroll of the Makati City Hall.
