Loren’s Politics
Loren’s politics Formidable presidential candidates who needed a viable running mate pursued her. Considered a “presidentiable” herself, Senator Loren Legarda played coy and took her time in choosing a partner for the May 2010 elections. When she finally did, the broadcaster-turned-politician had a lot of explaining to do.

Senator Legarda, running mate of Nacionalista Party standard-bearer Manny Villar, takes the hot seat on this Wednesday’s ‘Probe Profiles.’ She explains her brand of politics and style of leadership that have pushed her to different political camps in the last 11 years.
Probe Profiles’ host Cheche Lazaro visits the Legarda ancestral house in Malabon, interviews the household, including the senator’s yaya, and learns more about the only daughter who grew up with a lot of insecurities.
Three weeks before the official campaign period begins, get to know Senator Legarda better on ‘Probe Profiles’ on Wednesday, January 20, after ‘Bandila’ on ABS-CBN. Catch the show’s replays on ANC every Thursday at 6:00 p.m. and every Saturday at 12 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. To view this and other episodes of ‘Probe Profiles’ – along with other award-winning shows of Probe Productions – log on to Probe’s official website, http://www.probetv.com.

Is she worth to be a Vice president? I think that we, voters should choose true leaders. Vote for Binay, 20 years in the service as a Mayor.

I was able to catch this last night on ANC. It gave a glimpse of Loren’s personal life, her formative years, and how she came to be in the senate, from being a successful broadcaster. She was the typical colegiala, even appearing in print and TV in the 80s, for a toothpaste ad. Funny, cos it was also mentioned that she received a failing grade back in her college days in UP!! I believe in her dedication to the environment, and how she’s the Philippines’ climate change crusader.
@elv Binay is really good as Makati mayor. But I’m not so sure about his popularity. You know thats an important factor in pinoy politics right?

@Ivy: If you believe that popularity is a big factor in this coming elections, then i think you’re one of those people that can be swayed by political ads and political gimmicks.. simply political immaturity..

Interesting article. Now the question is Will Manny Villar make it to Malacanang. More power to your blog.
